I think what you write also matches one of the papers I quote in my post; the authors state that organizations are probably better of picking a framework that fits the “mindset” that is already present, and then moving forward from there, then something that is wildly different.
I do have data about sectors and organization size. Even with thousands of teams in our database, it is unfortunately still not enough for a breakdown by framework AND size/sector/etc. Hopefully in the future!
