Thanks Steve. What did you read in the article that makes you say that most of our metrics are about likability?

I think we measure engagement (how often do people interact with us) more than likability. But yes, an assumption is that people engage with our content when it is useful (and not just fun). We've found it incredibly hard to directly measure impact. How can we isolate our influence on someone's work when that person is undoubtedly influenced by dozens of other things.

If you have an idea on how we can measure impact, I'd love to explore what is possible.

Thankfully, our metrics are just a part of our conversation and decisions - we don't let them decide for us what do do.
